In their job as storage management consultants with focus on backup employees of AGITE Software AG had to notice again and again, that for a competent consultancy and assistance a meaningful and efficient representation of data like amount of backed up data, capacities, performance and more, is an absoute must. Many of these reports were developed using different scripting tools on the customer site individually.

The wish to minimize this effort by a universally usable reporting tool led to the conception and realization of backupVISUAL™. The tool, developed by consultants for consultants, was very powerful, so customers wanted to use its functionality permanent. The product was born.

During the following months many of backupVISUAL's functionalty were improves and new features were implemented, without loosing the user-friendliness or flexibility.

The current version 2.4 of backupVISUAL™ by AGITE Software AG, offers backup administrators an unbeaten tool to, that allows to have an improved control over their backup environment and backup costs while reducing the necessary effort considerably.
